This specimen from The Emmons Quarry in Greenwood, Maine consists of blue/grey Fluorapatites and other rare minerals in a matrix of platy white Albite!
There are two vugs which contain clusters of Fluorapatite crystals, the larger of which measures 0.82 inches across and consists of over 20 terminated crystals of varying sizes! The Fluorapatites have great form and terminations and fluoresce electric yellow and purple colors under short wave UV light! The matrix also houses a few small black Columbite crystals, quartz points, silver Muscovite mica, and other interesting micro-minerals. A gorgeous specimen of highly sought after minerals from a rare and famous Maine mineral locality!
