Condition: Plastic. Never used, never displayed, no chips, no defects, no crazing. Your valuable collectible is well packed, protected and in great shape! Itemcomes in original green decorated box, with minor wear from being in aretail store warehouse - still in great shape for gift-giving!This Coca-Cola hanging figurine features the first bottle to bear the official Coca-Cola Bottling Company logo. Modeled after the Hutchinson bottle, this style was prevalent from 1899-1902. The miniature figure is made of clear green plastic an features a silver stopper attached to a red ribbon loop for ease of hanging. The bottle will also stand on its own, to be easily added to any Coke display. The front of the bottle is embossed with "PROPERTY OF Coca-Cola BOTTLING CO.". Coca-Cola was originally only sold as a fountain drink, where soda jerks mixed the Coca-Cola syrup with carbonated water upon the customer's order. In 1894, Joseph A. Biedenharn first bottled Coke to sell at his candy store in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He sent a case of the bottled product to Asa Candler, the owner of Coca-Cola, who was hesitant to invest in the idea. But two entrepreneurs from Chattanooga believed that bottled Coca-Cola would be an incredible market, and they were so persuasive, Candler eventually gave in and gave them control of the bottling procedure (everywhere in America, except in Vicksburg). Thus the Coca-Cola Bottling Company was born in 1899. Hang this unique miniature anywhere in your display for a touch of retro diner fun. It makes a great gift for any Coke collector or kid-at-heart!
